Returning to Learning Technologies
PebblePad has been a prominent player in the Learning Technology field for quite some time now; in fact, it's been a while since our 10th birthday, and we're now officially well into our teenage years. When you've been around as long as we have, opportunities for 'first time' experiences are harder to come by, as it goes without saying that you can only win that first award, or reach over a million users for the first time, once.
However, for a company that prides itself on constantly innovating, it's not all that surprising that PebblePad is still enjoying its fair share of firsts. For instance, last year we became the first portfolio platform to become LTI 2 certified, we won our first LT Award with Sheffield Hallam University, and it was our first time exhibiting and speaking at Learning Technologies. As I wrote in a blog post reflecting on our experiences at Learning Technologies 2017, attending was all about seeing whether what we do in higher education could translate to the modern workplace. We signed up for the 2017 exhibition not because we’d decided ourselves that it was a great idea, but because more and more people were telling us that our approach, our ethos and our technology is exactly what’s needed to transform modern workplace learning.
So, does the fact we're returning to Learning Technologies 2018 mean that a lot of people were really excited about what we have to offer to modern workplace learning? Yes, it means exactly that. But we're also returning because we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves at the 2017 exhibition - with so many fantastic conversations with people who really bought into our ethos, signing up for LT18 was an easy decision. If you're new to our blog and PebblePad you can find out more about what we do below. If you're heading to LT18 (for the first or umpteenth time) you can also find more information about what we'll be up to, and where to find us.
