News09/12/2011 - PebblePad Literature Review

We have recently commissioned Sarah Chesney, an eLearning Consultant specialising in personal learning spaces, to conduct a review of all PebblePad related literature. We asked Sarah to focus on literature that:

  • Has been peer-reviewed (journals and conference presentations)
  • Advances the knowledge of PebblePad in practice
  • Includes research results to back up claims
  • Is of sufficient length to make a useful contribution (ie. not simply an abstract)

The results of Sarah’s review can be accessed at http://www.citeulike.org/user/PebblePad. Each citation is accompanied by the full abstract and relevant notes from Sarah. All articles include links to publisher details and, where possible, a link to the full paper is also provided.

If you are aware of a paper that you think meets the criteria above and could be included in our literature review site, please let us know. The article will be reviewed by our team and included if considered suitable.

News07/12/2011 - PebblePad+ UK Roadshow Announced

Throughout March 2012 we’re taking PebblePad+ on a UK tour to showcase the new functionality and design. This is a fantastic opportunity for you to get a detailed overview of PP+ and for us to discuss implementation strategies prior to the UK launch in Summer.

Places are limited so we recommend you book early. Tour dates and locations are as follows:

  • March 20th (am) Manchester
  • March 21st (am) London – this event is focused on our Educational Organisation customers
  • March 21st (pm) London – this event is focused on our Professional Organisation customers
  • March 22nd (am) Birmingham
  • March 26th (am) Edinburgh
  • March 28th (am) Sheffield

After each event we’ll be making a PP+ Sandpit available so that all attendees can have a play with the new system. There will be plenty of opportunities to ask questions and find out more about how you might use and promote the new functions.

There is no charge for attending these events and refreshments will be provided. We hope to see as many people as possible attending, so please feel free to pass this email onto all colleagues who you feel may be interested in attending.

To book your place please register online: http://www.pebblepad.co.uk/roadshow/
