Getting Started with PebblePad

 PebblePad RealPlayer Issue

We have recently become aware of a problem with logging into PebblePad when the RealPlayer browser recorder plug-in is installed. Typically this is being installed when users install the BBC iPlayer. Unfortunately, this is a general problem with the way the RealPlayer plug -in 'hijacks' any Flash content in a browser window and is not something that we can rectify from our end.

A tipsheet has been created for PebblePad users who are experiencing problems with this. You can find the tipsheet here

 PebblePad Help and Printable Tipsheets

The content of all Tipsheets that were previously available as downloadable .pdf files are now contained within the PebblePad Online Help, which can be accessed from within PebblePad by clicking the large help icon icon in the bottom corner of the right hand pad.

 PebblePad Customer Support Area

The PebblePad Customer Support Area allows named individuals from institutions and organisations to access help movies, tipsheets FAQ's and other support related materials. Users can download PebblePad updates, report a bug, give feedback and submit feature requests. The PebblePad Customer Support Area is primarily for managerial staff in institutions and organisations running PebblePad and requires a username and password to log in.

 PebblePad Help & Presentation Movies

Each of the links below opens a new window with a flash movie. These movies are designed to take you through the steps required to use some of the key features of PebblePad.

The movies require a Flash Player which can be downloaded from here.

Please note all links on this page open a new window so if a pop-up blocker is installed you may have to adjust your blocker settings.

Some browsers may require you to click on the movie to activate it. Hover your mouse over the movie to reveal the play controls.

These help movies contain screen video and a voice over. The movies may take some time to play on slow connections.






 Flash & Login Help

If you are having difficulty logging onto PebblePad from your home computer the most likely cause of the problem is that you have an old version of Flash installed and / or Javascript is not enabled.

PebblePad requires Flash version 7 or above, Javascript enabled and Popups allowed to come up.
